Feb Goals Met

Wahoo! With just one day to go, the Feb goals have been completed with the knitting of the final hat. In addition to 8 scarves and 3 hats, I have also completed (finishing) 2 baby blankets and the Feb winner's scarf. All this with a cold, too! Not bad!

Feb Scarf #8

Nice fun scarf. I loved this yarn. It came to me unlabeled so I have no idea who made it, but it is very cute!

Feb Stats!

Well, things have been a bit slow lately. Been bitten by the cold bug, the knitting has taken a back seat to much sleep. But, fear not! The goals will be accomplished!

And, be on the look out for the next contest to be announced on the blog.

Photo: Navy Charity Baby Blanket

This one is a little different. Usually I just post scarves and hats on the blog, but this is a baby blanket I knitted for a Navy charity. Made from acrylic squares, it turned out pretty good. Just need to do a little finishing.

Love this one. It is from a donated yarn, a silky-like acrylic. Knits up quickly and beautiful.

This one is interesting. It is a mystery fiber. Feeling it, though, I think it maybe a bamboo/acrylic. It has the nice, soft sheen of bamboo, plus that silky like texture. Beautiful scarf.

SnuggleWarmth Contest: Only 2 people entered so far!

***Post your answer in this day's comments to enter***

Since you know SnuggleWarmth's mission statement:
Bringing a nickel's worth of good karma back to the world one scarf at a time. You know that I am dedicated to spreading some good to those who need it, even if it is a simple as a hand-knitted scarf. You know what I do, now I want to know what you do to make a difference to those around you.

So, the question is:
Since this is January, and January is a month to make resolutions for the new year, I pose this question:

What do you can you do this year to make a difference in the lives of others?

It is a simple question. Think about it. Post about it in the comments of this blog and do it!

One lucky person will receive a hand-knitted scarf. The winner's name will be drawn Feb 14th from the names of those who contribute.

Good luck!

Hat #5: Photo (January Goal)

This is one that I wasn't so sure about at first. Someone gave me some speckled white Red Heart yarn. I wasn't sure how this hat would look once completed, but, you know what, it totally surprised me. Not bad, I think. The yarn off to the side is three little braids I made that come out from the center of the hat.

February Goal: First Scarf Halfway Done!

OK, so I did achieve my goals for January. It was a struggle though. Given the struggle last month and the fact that February is a shorter month, I have reduced the goals just slightly. Of course, I hope to exceed them.

Already halfway done with the first scarf!

Don't forget to enter the contest. See the contest blog post to enter.

Hat #4: Photo (January Goal)

OK, so this is a bit of a funky one. Yes, I had leftovers that I used together on this one:) I had some Homespun dalmatian and some pink acrylic left. I thought why not?

Hat #3: Photo (January goal)

I like this one. I used two different types of yarn: for the brim, I did a multi-colored acrylic; for the top, I used Homespun in white.
