Hat #2: Photo (January Goal)

The yellows do not show well against the white background and my lack of photography skills, lol. This hat matches the popcorn hat. It has a yellow brim with a swirled top. Stylin' baby!

Since you know SnuggleWarmth's mission statement:
Bringing a nickel's worth of good karma back to the world one scarf at a time. You know that I am dedicated to spreading some good to those who need it, even if it is a simple as a hand-knitted scarf. You know what I do, now I want to know what you do to make a difference to those around you.

So, the question is:
Since this is January, and January is a month to make resolutions for the new year, I pose this question:

What do you can you do this year to make a difference in the lives of others?

It is a simple question. Think about it. Post about it in the comments of this blog and do it!

One lucky person will receive a hand-knitted scarf. The winner's name will be drawn Feb 14th from the names of those who contribute.

Good luck!

Hat #1: Photo (January)

Ah, a dalmatian hat! This one would go perfectly with the dalmatian scarf I made not too long ago. In fact, this scarf was made out of the remaining skein. Of course, it is homespun:)

There have been many people who donated yarn to me. Often, they will say that they have just partial skeins leftover from a completed project. Can you use it, they ask. Of course, I can! In fact, many partial skeins are used in the hats I made. Of course, it can make for a funky hat sometimes, but hey that is creativity!

Whew! Mission Accomplished

Well, well, I have good news to report. I just completed the 10th scarf for the month last night. Yay! It was close this month. Not quite a nail bitter, but very close. I am currently working on another scarf. Could this be the 11th this month? Or will it be the first of the next month? We will see:)

February goals will be posted soon!

Ah, the popcorn scarf. No, no, it isn't MADE out of popcorn. It just looks like it. You really can't tell in the picture, but this acrylic scarf is made of a swirled pattern of yellow and white --hence the name popcorn. The yellow wasn't thrilling me, so I added the white to the mix. Have to admit it didn't turn out too badly.

Jan 10th: Update

Well, things are going a bit slow for me lately. I am afraid that I just completed the third scarf --which in and of itself is good news, but alas shows the slower pace I have made as of late. Not to fret. I am still going. It might be just the winter blues here in DC metro. It has been very cold here. Not as cold as what I was used to in Anchorage, but cold for here. I think today it will get down to the low teens. Yes, for here that is cold.

Time to knit to keep warm!
